Prioritization of Urgency of Need for Services (PUNS)
In 2004, the State of Illinois developed a database of unmet services needs. This database was called the Illinois Prioritization of Urgency of Need for Services (PUNS). This PUNS database was a listing of individuals with developmental disabilities and their service needs. The database has now become a waiting list for individuals in need of services. To receive services in the State of Illinois, individuals with developmetnal disabilities must be enrolled in the PUNS waiting list.
All Individual Service Coordination (ISC) agencies, such as Suburban Access, Inc., are being asked to complete the PUNS questionnaire with individuals who are in need of services immediately or who may be in need of services within the next five years. This waiting list is also a tool to project future needs for services and funding in Illinois.
Our Service Coordinators are available to enroll individuals into the PUNS database.
There is no fee for this service.
